So you would not recommend I have NTL installed. It is outside my house just waiting.

We use NTL but just for the computer we still use BT for our main phoneline, we once tried cable and wireless for phone and found them sh*t, so had the line already in, not sure what we pay cause hubby deals with all that but we have very few if any problems.
