Bad day at black rock
Well what a bitch of a day I had yesterday computer and telephone wise, first I lost my wireless connection, when I say lost I me disappeared from my computer altogether, had to enlist accyman to sort it out cheers Jas your a star. then last night I was on here when all of a sudden I here the dulcet tones of my emergency alarm system shooting "your telephone line is not connected" over and over again (which is a ball ache to start with)I eventually switched the noise off. Luckily my mobile had a little charge in it (I never use it) and I called my daughter and asked her to ring BT. She got back to me about 20 minutes latter and said that at first they were treating it as an ordinary fault and would be fixed within 4 days. My daughter then told them it was my lifeline and seeing I am in poor health, and things changed they said it would be treated as a priority and that if access to my property was required they would let me know, but even so it could be today before it was fixed. The plus point is that I'm now registered with BT for medical emergencies and any further faults will be treated as a priority. I was then just sat watch telly about 8-10pm and I notice all 4 lights were showing on my home hub tried the phone and it was working, brownie points to BT

Were you the jaysay who had a letter read out on Radio Lancashire at about 21.30 on the 1st August? Mostly about groups and pubs.

Re: Bad day at black rock
So your bad day wasn't all in vain. Like they say John, every cloud has a silver lining.
I know a lot of people slate BT, but when I have had a problem(which hasn't been often) they have sorted it without too much bother.

Re: Bad day at black rock
Just a follow up a BT engineer came round this afternoon and did a full check on my phone line and Broadband, everything is now fine, they also rang me again to see if I was happy with there service and also rang my Daughter to let her know they had checked out the problem, as see was the one to report it, definitely brownie points for BT from me

Re: Bad day at black rock
I thought the whole infrastructure side was outsourced to openreach which is not technically bt in the way we think it used to be. I.e. you get your phone and bb from btw but the physical line health is openreach supported which also support sky etc.
So kudos to openreach (who I equally found very good when my mum moved to her sheltered bungalow and had issue with the emergency system).

Sorry to hear that.
It's the same for all of us. No players currently being American.
There's always going to be some bias I'm afraid, the host site being based in the U.S., and the majority of quizes, though not all, being submitted by Americans.
Will miss you.
You know where we are if you miss us.

They'll be lighting more candles at St. Mary's for you now.
So you repent your heathen ways.
