It sounds like you have the file associations mixed up.
Have you opened the zip file. If not XP has compressed folders that can open the zip.
Once the zip has been extracted you have the inf files (the drivers), you can then install the drivers via Device Manager, just point the wizard at the folder.

I've just rattled this together, I'm not a teacher so I hope you can follow it.
I can't find anything to plug into my laptop that will give the yellow question mark, so just pretend.

Im sorry redash havent been on today and guess what came through the post this morning! A software cd!! Whooo! i emailed 3 people at goodmans and two of them said i had to pay £12 so i thought you can ****** that however today in the post a nice lady from goodmans sent me a disc and a hand written letter , i thought how nice of her! And now ive got my pictures , but thanks redash
