Emails

Where does winxp using outlook express store my emails.
I've done several searches including hidden files, can't find them anywhere.
I want to back up all my emails to a mewmory stick.

Need to sort this computer out, backed up eveything else, but cant find my emails.

Can't help you with your current problem but if I may make a suggestion:

retlaw.com is taken but retlaw-accy.com is available.
Register the domain with domaindirect.com which will cost you $34.99 a year.
5 Free email accounts and you can create your website under that domain name.
The email I use is incredimail.com which can be forwarded from domain direct.
That will give you complete access to all your emails and they stay on you computer until you decide otherwise...you can also leave them on domaindirect server at no extra cost.
Any problems...just ask.

Re: Emails

Just go to express and click on "export" in the tools and give the destination as your memory stick it will save them as a file cant remember what sort though sorry
when you have sorted the pc out put the memory stick back in go to express and click on "import" and it will put them back again

Thanks Mick.
I've got them on my memory stick, they were in a file {3ACD F701-ECVA4-41 etc. Did it through the tools menu to a file called my Emails on the hard drive & then copied that to the stick.
The dammed computer won't boot up properly, press F8 and it throws a wobbler, last known good config doesnt work, keeps rebooting itself till it finally decides to play ball.
Its been like this since I uninstalled Ubuntu, could be a file in the boot log got messed up.

Re: Emails

Finally got my new computer back yesterday, Vista off, XP on, took them ages to find all the drivers for the mother board to make it work, Accy Web is real slow to open. Also all my emails which were copied to memory stick, I can't put back, blasted thing won't show the contents in windows explorer. Whats up.
