gif images and avatars

all gif images and avatars wont move anymore looked it up online and it says it because my browser wont support it yet they was working with this browser a few weeks ago havent changed anything on my comp does anyone know any other possible explanations

the dll file that controls gifs for your sytem may be damaged or corrupt.

try reinstalling some graphics software that requires the gif file format.

and if your using windows please dont use Internet explorer, i highly reccomend FIREFOX www.firefox.com

if you are using IE then

Click Tools, click Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, and make sure that the box labeled "Play animations in web pages" is checked. If it isn't, check it, click OK and then try viewing an animated GIF again.

If that doesn't work, I would run a virus/adware/spyware scan and see if anything got installed recently that might be causing you a problem. i reccomend spybot

infact i would reccomend that anyone who uses the internet at all runs spyboy on a regular basis regardless of if they have any problems or not

thx am on i.e. but was recently informed to try the new firefox release got adaware zonealarm and avg running and have nt picked anything up and the play animations box is checked will re install spybot again
