Re: Local Host

Try putting www. at the beginning of an internet address. see if that stops the message.

Re: Local Host

What operating system do you have?
I have Vista and my 500-100.asp file is located at
C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-i..ttperrors.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.1 6386_en-us_176c1e311c260870
I suppose that if you're on Vista, then my file will be the same, I could send it to you then you could just replace the file.

Re: Local Host

I've just read the code for 500-100.asp and it's just an error page for internet information services (IIS). So finding a copy of IIS and reinstalling it is my suggestion.

Re: Local Host

IIS is not for newbies if you plan to run an internet facing site as it needs someone with real idea of security to lock it down tightly.

If you want to run a webserver use Apache. If you need to do dynamic stuff beyond php/cgi then you have to decide if you want to go asp or java(jsp/servlet etc). teh later is managed using tomcat or even better using JBoss.
