Re: looking for pc repair in oswaldtwistle
The bottom line is that any repairs needed should be reported to the customer before the repair has taked place and under the trading standards act regarding repair services any unsolicited repairs are done at the cost of the repair shop involved.
I know I am the computer/repairs technician at HUFS (Hyndburn Used Furniture Store)
and I don't do any work on a rig until I have consulted with the owner/customer after diagnosis of the problematic computer.
And any illegal copies of any operating system installed on a computer should be reported to the trading standards authority or the Police asap as most of these small shops have not got the relative trading, repairs or PAT licences.
Strictly speaking the repair shop should also report this if a customer take in a rig for repair with an illegal copy of windows (after trying to sell a legit copy to the customer of course hehe) and should use the same vigilance as if the technician had found illegal porn or music on your rig. so as a tip when you take in your rig for a repair clean slate your hard drives and make sure you have a legit copy of your os on that HD just in case.
if in doubt, clean it out
use ccleaner and a legit os
