looking for pc repair in oswaldtwistle

i would strongly recomend AVOIDING the place on union road near teh town hall

a friend of mine took their pc there and was charged £90 for un needed repairs

they said the onboard graphics was broken - a lie

thy installed a pci express graphics card that wasnt needed

they wiped of the legitimate home edition of xp and installed a dodgy copy of xp pro

they didnt install all the drivers for the devices on the motherboard

the pc got worse and worse so they asked me to take a look at it

anyone who knows anything about computers could have seen straight away that it was the hard drive at fault and a hard drive diagnostic tool from the manufacturers website confirmed this which is the only thing they didnt bother to do

not saying all their work is shoddy but posted this so you can make your own decision if you want to risk taking your system there or not

Accyman, i assumed that it was the bloke that Lancsdave was referring to, the one who used to be on Abbey Street(next to the dungeon), he now has a pc shop in Ossy and he is called Simon

The shop that accyman is refering to is across the road from Ossy Clinic, it used to be a bridal shop. Its called MPC Computers and has been there for years. The one across from the library has only been there a few years.

Re: looking for pc repair in oswaldtwistle

hi all new to accy web
thought i comment on this in particular as i know the guys at mpc as they repaired my computer a couple of times . i dont know if accyman is mistaken but the service i received is first class there are some of the most honest lads i come across. They were recommended by others to me rather then overcharge they have many time provided free services were others would charge . and theres not a change there would use illegal copy of windows.
