Take the cover off the computer, look on the mother board for a shiny disk about the size of a 2 pence piece. Thats the battery. Take a note of the number go to any camera shop and get a new battery. (sounds like you got done.) replace the battery, replace the cover, switch on the computer and press F1 or exit, whatever shows on screen at bootup. You will; now enter CMOS, thats where you reset the date and time. Make sure all electrical contacts are clean, don't scrape them with a nail file, use a pencil.
