installed mcafee total protection on win xp totally slowed internet down any ideas for a new security programmethanx

Notts, you need top be a little more specific, the Internet does suffer slow times dependant on whats happening, it may not be your computer that slowing it down

too many people are too quick to blame something hat isn't the actual problem, lets be sure you have an issue before we investigate your situation

installed mcafee on 2 computers slwed down loading bar on both slow to load internet pages so i uninstalled it and put it back with less programmes still same i reinstalled norton on both running normally now

try avg

google avg enough links will lead you to it and its free

I have McAfee on mine and theres nothing wrong with my internet connection, slow internet connection is to do with your ISP well sometimes that or your line!

not necessarily, for example, if McAfee is restricting DNS lookups it will 'appear' slow even if teh line is running quickly. There is far more to retrieving a webpage than people actually realise.
