Re: Online banking under treat
i have been banking online for years, Barclays now offer you a device called a PIN sentry, its a bit like a calculator, you put your bank card in it when you log into online banking, and enter your PIN, each time you do this it gives you a different set of numbers to 'log into' your online account, much safer than the 'norm'

Re: Online banking under treat
Yorkshire bank do something similar.......it scrambles your password and you are asked for three different characters out of your password each time you log on.......and there are three variable security questions......a different one each time you log on.

Re: Online banking under treat
thats how you used to have to sign in with Barclays, if someone's watching your account it won't take them long to figure it out, thats why they came up with PIN sentry
they used to ask for example...the 1st and 5th letter of your password...think about it, someone gets a pen and paper and writes that down over a certain length of time and someone's got your password
another time you could enter your 2nd and 4th, then another time your 3rd and 6th....it all comes together to create your password
ok i'll shut up now

That is a very similiar system to how BACS payments are sent by large companies - they have a device which generates a random PIN number each time you log in to make a payment.

Re: Online banking under treat
I use a bit of software called "Key Scrambler"Anything that you type into your browser is scrambled so that a hacker can't read it.There is a free version or a better one for a few dollars.Goto----
