Re: P2p

There usually used by business's Mick, I know we have one at work, a broadband connection as we have wouldn't be much good for a firm were 40 to 50 people will be accessing the internet at the same time

Re: P2p

They're essentialy broadband/cable connections that transfer data faster..

T1 can transfer at up to 1.5Mb/s
T3 can transfer at up to 45Mb/s

Compared to say adsl which transfers at around 120Kb/s up to 830Kb/s depending on your package

I'd imagine the T3 is very expensive

Re: P2p

Mick, Make sure you use a anonymiser if you are going to use p2p for AHEM downloads. The RIAA are chasing users quite vigourously at the moment. One mother was hit with a £4K fine for her daughters downloads.

I no longer bother with P2P. Its too risky nowadays. Just borrow CDs or get together with mates and share that way. Your mates also share with theirs etc.

Re: P2p

I use WinMX for P2P - no spyware.

I tried iMesh and it is full of it

Re: P2p

Vorlon you still need to be aware that no spyware doesn't mean you can't be traced by RIAA etc.
