I always snigger a little when I see things like this. Clearly security is not as it should be or you wouldn't have pop ups! Even if that security is you.
Do you have any spyware scanners? Ad-aware, Spybot search and Destroy are 2, Microsoft also do one and there are others. I would recommend using at least 2 to get decent coverage. Are you still using IE? You don't mention when these pop ups appear? every site you goto? at startup? random intervals?

Re: pop ups
I think these pop up's sometimes hang around in the temps folder..when you delete temp files it dosen't delete all temps so I go to ..start/run.. type in.. %temp%.. and delete everything in the folder.

Re: pop ups
I wasn't laughing at you specifically chuck, just that people in general seem to think it wopn't happen to them.
Can you answer the other Qs please? Internet Explorer? all teh time, at startup etc?

Is that right entwisi? I was always led to believe that using 2 of the same programmes on one pc was like using two condoms together to be extra protective ...... they rub each other up the wrong way and cause you a whole heap of trouble!

Re: pop ups
in AV and firewalls yes, in spyware you need 2 at least for decent coverage
