As long as you have finished your contract there should be no problem.
When I uninstalled AOL from my PC a while ago it really messed my registary up so a good cregistary leaner is recommended for after.

Re: sky broadband
Cancelling should be fairly straightforward although they may well pester you with questions about why you want to leave and maybe even make you tempting offers to try to keep you.
Like Mr. D says, uninstalling it is the challenge.

Re: sky broadband
yep, AOL install software actually removes stuff that every other ISP uses so its hard to get online with anyone else.
You may need to reinstall a few windows components but its perfectly doable
As Willow says , they will desperately try to keep you though

Re: sky broadband
Has anyone on here actually moved to Sky Broadband. Looks too good to be true pricewise, would rather know before I switch.

Re: sky broadband
If you are already on a broadband package with AOL you may need a migration number. its a code that allows BT to swap you from one supplier to another. You need to get this from AOL and give it to SKY

Ian, what is the box they send you? Their T&C's say you have to use it and allow them to update the software in it.
