Post Tec Zone Chapter1
Found a good second hand 17" Compaq monitor today for £45, with guarantee. The shop on Warner St, PC TecZone, next to the the games place.
Check out their website. they run a non - profit organisation, where for a small yearly donation, you get all the email support you need, free software, competitions and discounts. The site is ideal for beginners. They are also starting PC & internet courses at the shop soon. I think the whole thing's a brill idea.
The guy that runs it is local, give him a look. Make enquiries via the website or at 35, Warner St.

Nice idea and all that but where does it say its non-profit, and from how you have described it above it sounds like the money is being donated to charity, It certainly doesn't look that way to me.
If it was free I'd be interested but a tenner is best spent on a couple of computer mags. Anyway, nice idea, maybe I'll start charging £5 a year for this site, you'll only have to donate it so I know your a serious Accrington person!

Post Re: Monitors

Just another quick point about this "tec-zone" thing. The guy who runs it says hes called Oscar, he also has released some sound software available from the above mentioned site. When you go to download it, it says, and i quote the website -

Quote:
"Due to lack of resources at this time, we cannot offer technical support. We will let you know here when we can do so."
So, hang on a minute. Lets have a think about this. You want me to spend 10 quid on a site that you say will help me, but you don't have time to support software you have written?

Wake up and smell the coffee!

Stick with micks computer help line, it's free and it's genuine!

Post Re: Monitors

Maybe I've interpretted this wrongly.
Might be worth getting him on the forum to give us some more in depth info into what it is he's doing??? Then people could make informed decisions. After all if it's not genuine, they deserve to know, don't you think?

Sort it out Mick!!!  ;D ;D ;D
