Re: which ADSL router?
I prefer Netgear and Linksys stuff myself. Belkin are also usually OK but I fell out with them when they introduced advert redirections(which was hastily removed when teh IT bods kicked up a fuss ).

Re: which ADSL router?
You could ask why SKY chose to use NetGear.

Probably because they arranged a price deal and had the firmware written for them so they can control it like they do with the digiboxes

Re: which ADSL router?
That does not bother Sky usually
I agree though they are usually good stuff, I use a Linksys WRT54GL personally.

Re: which ADSL router?
Got both a netgear DG834G and a belkin 7633 and both work great. Make sure you get an adsl2+ router if you want to take advantage of faster internet in the near future (or now on certain providers).

That one I linked is ADSL2+ for £15
Trouble is you might only use it for a couple of years before you want to change to an ADSL3+ or whatever they decide to call it in the future.

Re: which ADSL router?
Whichever you go for, check that it is Xbox Live Compatible before purchasing it.
See the list here.
Netgear stuff is usually good, but there are some that are incompatible.
See the drop down link on the page I linked to.

Re: which ADSL router?
You don't need a wireless router. I use this system for my son's X-Box live. Haven't had any problems with it. dLAN 200 AVeasy Starter Kit. It was recommended as a more reliable alternative to the X-Box wireless adapter.

Re: which ADSL router?
Sky issue Sagem routers out now. And in my opinion they are poor. Connection drops every 30 mins or so for about 30 seconds.
