click start then run
type cmd in the box and press enter
little black screen appears then type ipconfig
it should tell you your network IP address. Look at the default gateway address. that should be your router. try http:// and the gateway address

so with a wired connection you still can't get teh admin console?

do Neils cmd bit but do

ipconfig /all

have you been to your bt wireless connection manager in your start menu all programs.if there is a fault it will tell you to connect by wire connection then should be able from there to fix it for you thats what i done when my wireless started playing up.

your default gateway is set to that

Yeh managed that & wifi connection switched on got 2 live connections now going to re boot & see if wifi stays on this time, as didnt yesterday.

Which is next to useless. whats teh point of having settings if these can't be altered. If someone gets your key how can you make teh network secure again?

I know thats whats been bugging me about hence why i had this wifi prob trying to secure it to WPA & failed
