Before anyone starts telling me im stupid ...... i know this but im in a crap mood because of this lot. I'll tell you why and its all because of this bunch of flipping idiots.

Back in may i cancelled aohell and went with sky. Got the MAC code from them and they sent it to me by text. Rang sky with it and im happy with them. As it was late in the month i expected them to take out Junes as the months notice..... but not July, August and September after i'd cancelled it. At the beginning of September i got a bank statement ..... and they'd took out july, august and septembers as well. So rings em up. Ding dong round 1 - first of all they said i hadnt requested a mac code and they hadnt sent one .... when i said i'd got a text from them saying AOL Alert and the mac code and saying that it was valid for 30 days ... they changed their tune saying that i hadnt cancelled it. I said i did ... otherwise i wouldnt have asked for a MAC code would i? Anyway eventually after a couple of phone calls they said they would send me a cheque - i said why not credit my bank account - it would be easier .... they said they cant do that - so ok i'll take the cheque. You will receive it within 30 days. So 4 weeks later 3rd october - i rang them again seeing as i hadnt received the cheque. It will be credited to my account by 23 October - i said the person who i spoke to said it couldnt it had to come by cheque when i asked for it to be put back in my bank account. They also said that it had only gone through on 23 september .... when i rang them on the 5th september!!! Well i was highly angry then ....... Even more now - have just rang my bank as it is the 24th October ....... and its not gone in. Oh im in a crap mood ....... and the phones had to go on charge so i've got an hour to steam before i can ring em again

So warning to all aohell users if you try to cancel it ..... hope you have a better time of it than me!!!

I had massive problems with Aol. Have you got the cheque yet or not? I suggest ringing up and asking to speak to a manager, they are usually more helpful/competent, but don't take that as a guarantee!

The motto here - use online banking so you can cancel direct debits and standing orders, and check your balance at any time of day or night

it is always a good idea to cancel direct debits when you know they don't need to take money from you again. You have to cancel standing orders or they will just keep going out of your account.

Back in september i rang the bank and they cancelled the direct debit. When i rang aohell back in may - they said they would cancel it after they'd took junes out ..... seeing as i had to give em a months notice and it was late on in the month when i rang em to cancel it. Very untrustworthy ...... i believed em that was the stupid bit....... and then i was ill .....

I do not believe this .......... the bloke i spoke to .. indian accent called matthew ......... said i will put you onto my superior ........... he answered said hello .... i said hello and the swine cut me off. That phone call 15mins and 38 seconds......... they are now in big trouble.

Keep ringing shillelagh, keep the pressure on. Tell them how many times you've phoned etc. The amount of times I've been put on the phone to people who clearly are not called 'charlotte' or matthew' is unreal. Who are they fooling??

Update .......... oh if i really could reach down a phone and strangle someone it would be aohell.

Anyway have had to agree to this 41 days ....... but ive got compensation and payment for the phone calls ..........

Turns out - beginning of september - they'd cleared my bank details off the screen ..... and then when i rang in october ..... they never checked the bank details .... they did a refund to my account with aohell ..... not my bank account.

This one i spoke to was a nicer bloke and said he would report the other agent for the refund being done wrong and try and sort it out. In otherwords a cock up from start to finish .......

Still not happy but i warned him in 41 days if its not in my bank account then i will be back onto him - this time it was an irish bloke.

how did you guess!!! Thing is he was a lot nicer than the other one ........ and he gave me his name ....... which i have made a note of.

Theyre not getting away with it ....... im going to make sure i get that money back - especially as they've included the phone calls ......
