Re: AtariST Anyone still got one?

Still got my trusty Amiga 1200: 10MB RAM, 2.1GB Hard-disk Still gets used too, missus wrote all her college work up on it a couple of years back.

You can run Amiga stuff on your PC too, just download the emulator http://aiab.emuunlim.com/

There's probably summat similar for Atari ST too.

Re: AtariST Anyone still got one?

Some electronic music producers still use ST's to run all the midi equipment, no-one has ever used an Amiga in this respect. I owned neither - we were the last family in the western world to get a CD player, up until 1995 we were still keeping meat in barrels of salt.

Re: AtariST Anyone still got one?

Shurm. I meant I never bothered with a CD or Hard drive for the Atari... I did have an Amiga a500 for a little while but wasn't impressed... Nice for playing games but not for much else.

I lost my Atari and need to get another.. An STe.. I released 65 titles on the ST and would like to see them again..

Had the emulators.......... But they don't hack it really for me

Talking Re: AtariST Anyone still got one?

I used to program the Atari ST. I wsn't brilliant, but I taught myself machine code and formed a demogroup with some mates.

When I finally got into this internet thingy(!), I went looking for ST stuff (I love retro gaming stuff) and found that some one had put my first demo onto a compilation disk, and transferred it online!!!!!!

Needless to say, I was highly flattered..........!

And the ST ruled the Amiga - after all, you couldn't get Super sprint for the amiga (still have an unbeaten score on that game) and Space harrier for the amiga was absolutely pants!!!
