Re: No Sound

right, try physically removing teh add on card so you just have the one soundcard in the PC, remove all entries in device manager, reboot let it find the devices and install all the drivers. Secondly, just to be absolutely sure, plug the speakers into an ipod/walkman/something else that you know works to make sure they do (You can just turn up the volume and touch the end of the jack plug you should get a hum through one speaker). Then plug then back into the PC. (I know it sounds daft but please make sure you get the right socket the number of people who get it wrong is amazing, it is normally the green one).

After that its a I probably need to pop round and do some more in depth testing.

Re: No Sound

Sorry to be a pain by bringing this up again (i really do appreciate the advice), but, i've tried everything that everyboby has sugested & still nothing. I've just noticed that when i turn the pc on it still "beeps" inside. Don't know if this will help solve the problem in any way? Think it's time for plan "B", has anybody got a big hammer? lol

Re: No Sound

Got the problem sorted now. It was a conflict between the two. Thanks for all the advice.

Re: No Sound

It's catching! My sound has gone too now. First thing I need to check is if the cats have pulled a wire out!
