I use a HP desktop 930c which fortunately is the same as one of yours, so my ink cartridges are very cheap, when I call round your place for a brew, I swop my empty cartridges for your full ones Mick!

Re: Printer
We use an Epson Photo R200 The ink is a lot cheaper than HP. The photo's it prints are excellent and it prints directly onto CD/DVD's as well.
I also have a HP 990c which doesn't get used anymore as the ink is a stupid price, it prints on both sides of the paper which is very clever.

Re: Printer
Epson Photo 830. Excellent photo quality, very reliable & cheap cartridges (£4 black, £6 colour). I also use "Inksaver", brilliant little program.

You should definately have a look at that inksaver program. You can set the levels to suit your requirements. I usually set both black & colour at 25%. You really can't tell the difference in the quality, but you definately notice how much longer your cartridge lasts. It's got a free trial evaluation period with it also. After that you'll have to purchase the registration code, or download the serial from another site (not that i'd ever do that really, lol).

Re: Printer
Epson R300, same a s 200 but with card reader built in, tried all kinds of printers but never found one as good as the R series, even takes cheap refils with good results.
Had this about 2 year now with no trouble - touchwood
When its time for a change I will be going for another Epson, prob an R1800 which is an A3 printer with same ink technology as the 300

Re: Printer
I've got an Epson and an HP. Of the two I prefer the HP.

Re: Printer
I've got HP. I also have an Epson but it's a big old all singing all dancing thing which won't fit on/under/near the desk so I just use it as a photocopier.

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy an Epson printer when the ink runs out on your Lexmark. You could probably buy a new Epson and a set of spare cartridges for less money than 2 sets of cartridges for the Lexmark giving you the same thing in effect, you then save money every time you need more ink.
