Real Player with windows 8.1

Anyone troubleshoot this problem that real player won't download files off You Tube with Windows 8.1.

When I try it just comes up with "Unable to Download" and has since day one.

Probably could, but do you deserve it? Who knows what you would download?

That question/comment on the link was a funny read "I'm in the middle of downloading the 8.1 update on another PC, but I think I'll stop it." Wow...you're going to cancel the 8.1 update because stupid realplayer won't work? Sigh ever heard of other, better options?

Why don't you use real player?

For me its their history of bundling ADWARE and SPYWARE in with their crap player followed by their extremely bad video/audio codec that nobody in their right mind in this day would use for anything!

Re: Real Player with windows 8.1

Like anything VLC has it`s advantages and disadvantages, I`ve used VLC for years and it does everything I need, plays video and music, even incomplete downloads and no codecs needed. Each to their own though.

None really with how I use it but there`s bound to be some, it may not download videos from you tube for example, but then again it may I don`t know because it isn`t something I do. Some of the fine adjustments could be a bit more srtaight forward, things like adjusting dynamic range compression for when watching a movie late at night. Nothing major though.
