well it has to be said Ubuntu is flaming weird! I am truly i one of the microsoft converted! hehe .

I wouldn't say weird but its certainly something different to what your used to, new learning curve, I haven't looked back since switching, I don't even have windows on my main PC anymore, the laptop I have but rarely use has XP on it, I booted it up this week and it told me the anti-virus was out of date, 15-10-2008 when I last updated it, and that was the last time it was used

can somebody advise me on how to intsall Adobe flash player? I installed via the ubuntu software centre but it hasn't done anything and the adobe page has 5 different versions to install... my head is blagged

well the first time i didn't like it but i needed to reinstall my system again and tried ubuntu again. Wow loving it this time around, now that i have made a friend online that showed me a few things and got me going(via teamviewer)

I Love the 3D desktop!




thanks entwisi for recommending it. I can't see myself going back to windows now (well only to play FPS games)

hi running ubuntu 12.04 made a vitual disk in vitual box with windows 7 however when i go to update the standard vga driver to my geforce 260 card with the latest nvidia drivers it tells unable to find my graphics card

I have same card(i have 265 but its the same chipset) and there is a driver available in "additional drivers"
