Re: Unlocking mobile

Best advice learned by my hard way is make sure u get the right provider before getting your phone and make sure before u unlock phones that phone will run services your phone needs beforehand. Luckily not wasted money on new sim.

If you buy your PAYG phones from carphone warehouse most of them are unlocked already

Re: Unlocking mobile

I've used SmartSIM before on a number of mobiles, you don't need to 'unlock' the phone, the film effectively confuses the phone as to what type of sim is installed. In my case a Orange locked phone was used on O2 and voda quite happily when trying just the sim showed it to be locked.

no risk of "bricking" the phone either...

Re: Unlocking mobile

The phone is now unlocked but apparently cos it's a BB I can't use another sim data plan as it doesn't work or operate properly for bbm.
