V+ to L G Recorder

I have a Virgin Samsung V+ box which records but only to the box itself,so I bought a L.G DRT389H Recorder to transfer some movies to disc for viewing at a later date.
Does anyone have any idea how to set this recorder up as I have tried always but with no success.I have to return it by Tuesday to get my monies back.

Re: V+ to L G Recorder

I tried an LG and a Toshiba DVD recorder-couldn't follow either of them.
Change it for a Panasonic-much easier to set up.
By the way if your LG has a hard drive on it they may not take it back( for chance you loaded something naughty on it!).

Re: V+ to L G Recorder

You could try this
Official EZCAP EzCAP116 USB 2.0 Video Capture Device.: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
I got one last year, it plugs into the back of your V box, you might need a scary to RCA plug, I take it you ave scary on the back? I'm a sky user.
The other end goes into a USB port on your computer.
Install the software and press record.
It's very simple.
