Do you have any external drives or memory sticks plugged in ( even happened on mine with memory card for camera) your system may be trying to boot from one of those if so unplug them all before booting and see if that helps x

Disable the floppy drive in the BIOS and save the BIOS settings. Make sure the machine is off and unplugged overnight then look at the BIOS setting for the floppy drive in the morning. If it's changed back to "enabled", your motherboard battery is dead.

It might also be a fault with the floppy drive itself.

Disconnect the power, open the case, pull the power and ribbon cable out of the floppy drive itself, reconnect everything and then disable the floppy drive in the BIOS during power up.
