Re: Windows Eight

Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is due to be launched in October of this year.
Previously Microsoft have been quite cagey about when new OS are being launched, but I am sure I have heard it or read that it is being released in October

It was discussed on the BBC computer program Click this morning, they aren't pushing it yet but its supposed to be a system which amalgamates the PC and Phone systems and is touch screen

Re: Windows Eight

I can't see it being worse the Vista.......that must be the worst operating system ever.
I have it on my laptop and I hate it.
I hardly use my laptop because Vista is so ungainly and user unfriendly.

I can't see me buying a new computer system for a long time...so there will probably be a nine and a ten out before then.

I think they said that won't happen in Windows 8, only bits of it. Windows 456 is expected to be the update for that

Re: Windows Eight

Oi, John. I'll have you know that this one is just a little over a year old...and runs (blissful) windows 7.
I was really worried when I bought it.......I really thought Windows 7 would be like Vista.......I almost cried when my old computer with XP on it died.
Anyway, I have found Windows 7 a dream after crappy Vista.

Re: Windows Eight

Well, I did prefer IE, but when I had to upgrade I didn't like it one bit so I changed to firefox...much better.
