Adam Blacklaw. R.I.P.
was saddened to hear tonight that Adam Blacklaw Ex Burnley @ Blackburn goalkeeper has croaked aged 72, would guess he was loved n respected by both clubs, a top keeper n also was a top geezer. R.I.P. Adam.

My memories of Adam Blacklaw were when I was driving the team coach for Burnley FC once or twice and Adam would give me a pound or so before the game and I would get a few bottles of beer in.
Bob Lord would not let the lads drink so I had to put the bottles down the back of the seats so they could have a craft sup on the way home. I also had a few drinks with him in the "Ribble Club" on Parker lane Burnley but no way could I match him pint for pint. A great character, R.I.P Adam. Gremlin R.T. |
