but what sort of hope does it give the youth, not only do you have to compete with the best in england,to get in your national side, but the rest of the world !!!!!

but with the influx of foreign managers its hard for English players to break through to first team in the Prem, and other than PNE not many clubs out of the prem get their players picked, pardon the pun but moving the goalpost?

have to disagree mate,if yer good enough you get in,simple as. theres been many good english players at Old Scumford in the last decade or so n their managers a jock.

I agree with thowd bugga . Also reminded me that the only current non-english born player I can think of in the England team also plays for the said foreign manager at the aforementioned ground.

and for clubs outside the "big 4 or so its economics (Money) that rules, clubs sign someguy from Timbucktoo for peanuts, can get away with paying him less than the equal brit, cos its great money to him dont blame the guy, but thats the bottom line.
