Arsenal3-0 blackburn.

I suppose we did ok, we held our own in the first half and were unlucky to score. However we got steamrollered in the second half.

Fair result i think.

Arsenal now break the unbeaten record and imo are fully worthy of it and deserve it more than forest.

How do you justify this remark? You were around then and have clear memories of that Forest team? I think not. you are merely talking up the opposition when you should be facing reality and calling for Souness's departure. Blackburn were lucky to avoid the drop last season; with their current form & management, it's unavoidable this season.

Re: Arsenal3-0 blackburn.

No i say that because forest won 21 drew 21.
Arsenal have won about 32 of theirs thats what my justification is.

I feel we were unlucky last year, to be in that postion in the first place, we spent big money on key players only for them to play 10 games of that season.

This year should be different once we get the next 2 games out of the way.

Re: Arsenal3-0 blackburn.

I dont want to take anything away from Arsenal - I can see them winning the Prem again this year and by some distance. Lets face it they are years ahead of the teams outside the 'top four' (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool) and they have already scored 12 goals in three games and have a goal difference of +8. The fact that they are years ahead of the rest of the Prem brings me to the point I wanted to suggest - that in my opinion, and that of many others, Forest set the old record when teams weren't separated by such a big gulf in class. The remark by Fergie that "Arsenal didn't deserve to be champions last season because they drew too many games" is pure tosh and a disappointingly sour comment from one who commands such respect in the modern game. In the eighties Liverpool won the old Division 1 by conceding only 12 goals in the entire League season and this was when 44 games were played (the same is true for Forest) instead of 'just' 38 games, the same season they fielded just 16 players for the entire season! When you look at Arsenal's record in Europe over the last five or so years it is less than impressive - evidence that their isn't, and hasn't been, sufficent enough class opposition in the Prem - evidence of that is the number of newly promoted teams that are relegated the season after. Don't get me wrong - Arsenal are a great team and I love watching them play (albeit begrudgingly!).

As for Rovers - I think it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, I get the feeling that Souness doesn't have the confidence of the dressing room so to speak.

rovers did ok but still they dont seem to be ble to score they had all the good chances in the first half but i by watching their games so far i think they will just avoid relegation but i agree i think souness should go

Re: Arsenal3-0 blackburn.

I get the impression down at ewood that they cant afford to be in premier division,
and they cant afford to be out of it,there is no money for decent players and it is much the same side as last year. Are there any players coming up out of the academy
down at Brockall ?.Fergusson played some young lads last night and I must say they
were pretty impressive.

Re: Arsenal3-0 blackburn.

We do have money hence spending £2million today on morten gamst pedersen.

As for young players, we have danns, gallagher, mceverly, and some that never get in first team squad like johnson, donnelly.

Not so good i suppose but none are foreign unlike arsenals and man utds, plus they invest a lot on signing these players.

But i do think that fabragas who is only 17 for arsenal is a top top prospect i have never seen a midfielder that young adapt so quickly.

As for souness i am unsure, he is a fighter but something must be going on.
