Barton remanded on assault charge
About time this thug met his come-uppance. I wonder if Newcastle will terminate his contract, it's all he deserves.

I doubt he will have his contract terminated unless he gets a lengthy sentence. Even if he does he will be signed up again by a top club when he comes out.
You only have to look at Lee Hughes at Oldham to see that football chairman have no issues reagrding things like this.

He should have got a decent sentence last time, maybe he wouldn't have done this, the law is an ass, and but for that, fame and fortune, he would have been dealt with appropriately first time round.

Barton now has 2 seperate violence charges to contend with in the New Year,plus his previous wonder how many he has to accrue before he his banged up for a stretch?
