BBC Lancashire ... be part of it! Unfortunately, BBC Radio Lancashire will not be providing commentary on Blackburn Rovers for the forthcoming season.
BBC Lancashire ... be part of it! We tried to get a deal but we couldn't. We are disappointed not to have been able to secure the rights for commentary on Rovers games but, like everyone else, the BBC is having to review its expenditure and we were not able to offer the sor...t of fee that the club wanted.
BBC Radio Lancashire will still be there at every match keeping listeners up to date on all the goal action, and we wish the team all the very best for the forthcoming season.

surely not having Rovers games on radio lancs harms Rovers from keeping local peolple in touch,.they should let radio lancs have it for free !!.
besides i like to listen to away games,if i am at home, alternative weeks when not at ewood . ermm if you get what that means

If you look hard enough spigs Rovers away games are usually streamed on line live
sorry for thread wander ...... seem to remember Rovers games being broadcast (Home and Away) on the wireless every Saturday afternoon before the pools results were anounced, not sure if it was thru the "relay" , talking about the days before Saturday afternoon wrestling on TV ... Jackie Pallo , Billy Two Rivers etc.
Should probably be a new thread ,
