Chelsea were fined 50,000 euros and their manager Jose Mourinho banned for two games by UEFA here for accusing referee Anders Frisk of improper conduct in the Champions League clash with Barcelona.Mourinho was also fined 13,000 euros.
The sanctions were decided on Thursday after the disciplinary committee of European football's governing body had listened to Chelsea officials answering charges that the club and Mourinho had brought the game into disrepute.
Chelsea will receive the written verdict on Friday and will have three days to appeal the decision.
The two-match ban means that Mourinho will not be able to coach his side from the touchline when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
And he will be unable to enter the dressing-rooms and talk to his players at half-time in the games.
