Re: Confirmed Teams for next season
Great for the local teams. Rossendale have said that playing FC United early in the season will be as good as securing a new sponsor. Plenty of derbys thir, making it better for all the fans as well. FC United aside,
Chorley are the biggest team in that league by a mile, the potential they have is fantastic. Unfortunately they will be s***e next season as always.
Clitheroe I believe will finish mid-table, a slight improvement on last season as they make steady progress under their ambitious young. Chairman Carl Garner (nice man). Watch out for Joel Byrom, never really got a chance at Accy but has been setting the Unibond on fire.
Rossendale were a surprise package somewhat last season, with only a poor end to the season denying them the play-off place they were in with a shout of all season, quite amazing when you look at their funds and crowds, extremely poor for a valley of 60,000. Whether they can manage another heroic effort like this next year I doubt, as many players I fear will leave due to poor finances.
I also feel Lancaster (or whatever they re-nae themselves after administraion) will really struggle, although I think they'll better last years tally of one pint. they'll find it hard to attract players as I cant imagine many of their players wanting to drop 2 divisions.
