Re: england v colombia

I think its time for Motty to retire from commentary, he is shocking, he is boring.

And did u hear his comment to Le Saux - "You've played with Crouch before Graeme, does he have quality down below"

Even the pundits are taking the mick out of him.

As for the game i thought they played orite to say how inexperienced the team was. I dont know why Robert Green is in the squad he is absolute crap, he is prone to errors. Norwich were awful last seaosn and conceded the most goals in the prem (?), however with a half decent keeper 50% of them would have been saved

I thought that Owen's goals were well taken, especially the third one which he volleyed past the keeper.

The second half was played out in the manner of a testimonial match. The Colombians deserved a draw because we eased off too much and gave them the space to play.
Many of the pundits said these games in the States were unnecessary, but I think that these games have proved useful to Sven Goran Eriksson if only to confirm that the likes of Green & Crouch are not international class players.

Re: england v colombia

I think Crouch did ok for us, and i would take him to the world cup as it offers us something "different" up front. He could come on and do a job for us in the last 15 minutes of a game. I was surprised with how good he was on the floor i thought he was only good at heading but i was wrong. He also showed quick thinking and set up Owen's second goal.
The likes of Andy Johnson, Alan Smith were very poor and did thereselves no favours at all.

Michael Crrick played absolutely brilliant in both games and should be in the first 11. He is very dicsiplined and will sit in front of the back four, he breaks everything up intercepts balls plays it simple and can use both feet, he is Englands version of Makelele and he should be starting every game for us.

We have got a brilliant squad now and in Germany 2006 we should win the world cup, this team will have players in thier prime and will be one of our best ever chances of winning it
