Re: English premership

Apparently "it's never been this close at the end of the season in the Premiership"... or so Richard Keys has told me 4 times in the first 37 minutes of Sky's coverage.

It's a wonder no one put him straight....our lads whipped the Premiership Title from under Man Utd.

But it wasn't on goal difference was it?

The referee in the Man Utd game is very weak. He's given a penalty to United, but missed a blatant handball by Ferdinand and Scholes should have been given a second yellow for a deliberate foul. Weak, weak, weak!

Agree with the first bit...but we'll take it.

Agree with the Ferdinand handball....didn't see the Scholes foul.

Spanish Television are concentrating on Alec's 'Chigley'...which is Spanish for chewing gum...there will be a hell of a shout in Spain if he swallows it.

Re: English premership

Why does this poll close the day after Utd. won the premiership? You'll have the FA investigating for crooked betting.

I can't help but smile, Grant has been hughing and pughing all week saying that the Chapionship should not be settled on goal difference, but when push came to shove Chelski couldn't even to their own job

Re: English premership

united deserved the title no question, i agree with grant though, always have, NOTHING should be decided on goal differance, title/play offs/ anything, its all about Money thesedays not the teams who gain the best points over a long hard season.

Well it didn't go down to goal difference after all, but United were by far the most enteraining side, in fact Id go as far as to say Chelski were boring, if you can't sore enough goals you don't deserve to win the title, even the head to head United were in front on goal difference 4 to 3
