FC's Holiday Weekender

What an awayday.4,300 turned up to witness the 4 - 2 away win over Blackpool Mechanics at Bloomfield Rd.It had a good old fashioned atmosphere with supporters with inflatables and wearing the odd silly mask. And as for the party in the pubs & clubs around B/pool it was unreal.Great pic's on Kipax's site as always .Looking forward to the rearranged game with Gt.Harwood next monday night, think the next party time will be at Oldham's Boundary Park for the last game of the season against Padiham.

Pity it wasn't such a good day for Blackpool F.C. It's just been on teletext that during this match they had a break-in during which portraits of some of their greatest players - past and present, which had been donated by fans were stolen. Pretty sad, as I can't see what use they'd be to anyone else except the club

Take the man out of Manchester, can't take Manchester out of the man.

Re: FC's Holiday Weekender

I see this a lot. These aren't real FC fans.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a FC fan at all; City are my second team!! but I steward the FC games at IES and the only trouble caused that is blamed on them are by football hooligans posing as FC fans; the reality is that the FC fans are great supporters of football and are one of few teams including Stanley keeping the non-league passion for football alive.
