Re: Football Betting Mugs Game ?
I last came on this thread 5/12/2012 and had £30 in my Paddy Power account.
I now have £34.10. So i have managed to stem my losses on betting, but making a profit is not been easy. 9 months showing £4.10 profit, maybe a bank account should be better... Just waiting for a few 'safe' bets to come along, but is there such a thing? Glad i didn't back Chelsea tonight.
Might put my £30 on Tottenham 1/7 tomorrow and make £4.29 doubling my profits !!!
£30 x8= 240 divided by 7= £34.285. The only thing is I don't know anything about Tromso's form.
It's gonna take me years to be able to live off the bookies

I've only got £5 left on my Skybet, and my Paddy Power is on £30 with bets outstanding.
If the money goes to zero on either, no more betting for me on that zero account.

Re: Football Betting Mugs Game ?
Just keep tweaking my bets,if i'm patient i know i can beat the bookies. Was considering putting a lump sum on the Man U Palace game, then just use the returns to bet with, but not putting silly accumulators on. Having a dabble on QPR 4/5 at Yeovil tomorrow.

I've been around a long time and the number of times I've heard that are many yet I've never seen anybody succeeding yet, that's beating the bookie that is when was that last time you saw a bookie on his uppers, yet I've seen many a gambler that way

Bookies aren't on their uppers because thousands of people put speculative bets on day in day out,I aim to have a steady trickle of wins, something they won't notice or worry about, just backing single football bets, which have a 1 in 3 chance of coming up. I have done loads of research and am quite happy to plod on.
Thanks to QPR for beating Yeovil today. Another small step towards the point were my stake's will be the bookies own money.

Re: Football Betting Mugs Game ?
Stetrovers,
your missing the bigger picture.
If you have a winning account online or if your always winning in the same shops in the same area, they will limit your stake.
I know people who have had there stake limited to a £5iver, the bookies do it to discourage them from betting with them anymore and to go elsewhere.
They don't like winning accounts, and you can guarantee if you where having regular 3 figure wins your allowed stake would be limited.
Don't forget, they aren't bookies any more.
They make far more money of the mugs who play on the FOBS in-shop or the virtual casino/slots online.
Why do you think they have been giving luxury days out to tory and labour mps, lavishing them with constituencies funds, etc.
Because they want the new gambling bill to give them unrestricted numbers of those evil FOB machines in their shops, effectively turning them into no more than casinos.
But don't worry, most of them are registered in Gibraltar so they can limit their tax liabilities.
The only way you can consistently put on big winning bets these days is with betfair or betdaq. They offer superior odds on the exchanges so why anyone would want to bet with the highstreet bookies is beyond me.
The art of traditional bookmaking is well gone; the current crop are a fraud.

Some of my money is parted from me, it's in several banks, making sod all interest. Picking out a few 'bankers' every now and again, will give me a better return than waiting for a 0.02% interest account to mature.
