fOOTBALL IN YOUR tOWN

Stanley now 4 pts clear at the top of the Conference league. Start believing now that league football could be coming home to Accrington. To all you who like football, live in the town and don't go to any matches: Start doing, the club needs you. To all those floating fans who watch Burnley, Rovers or A.N. OTHER start watching The Reds, the club needs you. Top of the league at christmas and crowds still under 2000 is not good enough.

See you up there

I wont get to a game until January when I am next in Accy. Always attend the home games when down.

Re: fOOTBALL IN YOUR tOWN

ive noticed a lot of football fans up and down the country slating stanleys ground

i thought it was good until i saw other conference grounds on the telly, stanley seriously lacks imo. Big improvements are needed hopefully these will come when football league comes next season

i havent managed to get down in a while, rovers is draining most of my money, its actually cheaper for most games there too

Seems odd that any premier fans would have been to the interlink? just going off your post that you follow Rovers I presume that you would be talking to supporters of teams that you played against and if they have did you not point out that Stanley are poor in comparison to Spurs, Man Utd etc.

That may be so but the football being played there at the moment more than makes up for it - try it, you could be surprised!!!

I'd rather watch a Stanley match with 'proper' Stanley fans myself anyway....... you can always spot a Roverite because they always leave 15 mins before the end of the game. At least we have a true football team in our town with good honest footballers and that my Blackburn 'friend' is something you will never ever have!!!

On Stanley On!!!!!!!!

This is from a woman who was smashed in the side of the head when Forest Green wre warming up, so hard it broke her specs, and still she enjoyed it so much she's coming back!

On Stanley On!!!!!!!!

what a pathetic comment

it always seems to me that everyone who supports lower league teams, seems to think, the only real fans are them, because they watch football so low down

every premier league club has real fans, abliet a lot of non real fans at the big clubs.

i dont support my town team, because it doesnt have one, so i support the team in the town of which i was born.

OK, Slater, but when Rovers are playing away and you can't make it, could you please, please, please come to the IES and support the Stanley. I can assure you that the standard of football you will see there is worth every single penny of your £12 admission fee!

il second that its a whole lot better than watching that shower down at ewood!
it's fast moving, exciting football at the IES, a far strectch from the pub team style bully boy tactics you might expect
