Good start For England.

4-0 good hat trick fer Defoe, Rooney seemed to have actually woken up, Hart looked confident, a decent start to the euro qualifiers, lets hope fer a result on tuesday, the swiss will be much harder to turn oer i think.

Re: Good start For England.

England were much better tonight in attack.. Defoe has always been a good finisher and it worked out well with Rooney playing behind him.
Joe Hart looks like a good keeper and thats something we have not had for years.
Yes the Swiss maybe tougher opponents.. I hope we keep up the attacking tactics.

Was good to see us pick it up again after the dismal flop of the summer. Also good to see the French maintain their summer form

Re: Good start For England.

Considering the injuries to central defenders I thought we did well. Rooney had a hand in all 4 goals and playing in that role he is a much better player. Not sure about Barry or Johnson, Barry's passing isn't what it should be at this level and Johnson was almost the downfall - left his position wide open and gave them a chance and then the attempted pass into the goal - sooner Brown and/or Neville are fully fit again the better.

Neville ain't even good enough for the Mancs let alone England, but do agree, he's great going forward, but dickey on the deafening

Re: Good start For England.

Barry had a mare. Constant fouling & giving the ball away.

Finally, Gerrard in central midfield! Hallelujah.

Can't abide Walcott. Overrated personified.

Johnson junior, Adam, is arguably England's brightest prospect. Johnson senior, Glen, is a liability and ought to be banned from international football. He is awful. He doesn't defend. At all.

Milner has to be the first name on the team sheet for the rest of the campaign as far as I'm concerned.

Very happy that England have found their 'number one' and all the silliness (like selecting Frank Fielding and Rob bloody Green) can end. Joe Hart - young, confident and extremely talented. Go on lad.

Re: Good start For England.

Shame about young Walcott, getting hurt so early on, but when you can replace him with like in Johnson, things are looking more rosy
