Hulse to Leeds

West Bromwich Albion striker Rob Hulse has completed his loan move to Leeds United.

Hulse has signed a three-month deal with the Championship club after sliding out of the first team picture at The Hawthorns.

The 25-year-old has made just seven appearances for The Baggies this term and is behind Rob Earnshaw, Kevin Campbell, Geoff Horsfield and Kanu in the pecking order.

He joined The Premiership's bottom club in the summer of 2003 from Crewe Alexandra and has netted 13 goals in 46 appearances.

The Baggies recently accepted a £1.2 million offer from Stoke City but the Crewe-born Hulse rejected a move to The Britannia Stadium.

Leeds have spent the past week arranging a deal for Hulse and have now completed the paperwork to finalise his move to Elland Road.

Baggies boss Bryan Robson feels Hulse will glean great benefit from spending the remainder of the season with The Whites.

Robson said: "I feel Rob needs first-team football to go forward in his career and as we've now got Robert Earnshaw, Kevin Campbell, Geoff Horsfield and Kanu ahead of him in the squad his opportunities will be limited."

Meanwhile, Simon Johnson has returned to Leeds following two months on loan at Doncaster Rovers.

Johnson had been a prominent figure during his early appearances with Rovers but has headed back to West Yorkshire after being on the periphery of late.
