Sorry mods - this aint a link to Accy but I personally think it may be a wothwhile cause, especially if we get promotion as hoped.
As supporters may have heard on local news, Dave Whelan is having a fight against GMP for overcharging at the JJB stadium. E.G. Wigan Latics charged over £44,000 for game against West Ham recently, yet P.N.E. charged just under £8,000 by Lancashire Police. A mark up of over 500%. Football and Rugby supporters will be affected. Stadium has full complement of stewards to watch over match - all trained by Wigan Police. Police only look after areas outside the ground before and after a match. Dave Whelan whinging at being over charged..... The man was found guilty of running a cartel & a monopoly & selling England shirts at ridiculous mark up prices.... I don't know how he has the cheek!
When he gives me the money that he's fleeced off me for England shirts over the years then he can whinge Pay up Whelan! |

WIGAN have thrashed out a deal with the police which means their last five home games will not be behind closed doors.
Greater Manchester Police threatened to withdraw from the JJB Stadium for the rest of the season after the club refused to pay £300,000 it owes for services this term. But Latics chairman Dave Whelan agreed to pay for the last five games and the police deferred payment on the £300,000 still owed. Whelan wants a nationwide flat fee for policing at games. He said: “Both sides were willing to give a little.”

When Burnley surporters are supposed to be there , for some reason they like to run on the pitch the guy from the Blackburn game got banned from football for five years, they gave him a five year Burnley season ticket
