Says on Sky this mornig that Coyle has been put on Gardening Leave by Burnley, bloody tipickle, how can the lad do anything in the garden this weather

Too expensive I would guess. He will be sitting on a tidy severance pay and can afford to take some time off.

Sky Bet has Paul Jewel favourite to take over Burnley at 3/1..but lots of money going on Mike Phelan at 7/2, Mark Hughes 16/1..so far as Hughes goes some may think he will sit around and wait for a better job but at the moment there ain't any.

Not keen on Jewell myself. I would love Phelan to have a go but it's hard to know if he could hack it as number 1 instead of a no2. If I thought we had no chance of staying up I'd say go for it now. While we have a slim chance of staying up then we probably need a bit more experience.
