Well if he's given a fair run he'll prove himself. He's something of an old fashioned footballer and reminds me of an early Gareth Barry from what I've seen of his games for Ireland. Given the right cultivation he'll be one to watch.

Looks like Sam is concentrating on the defence, he's brought French International defender Gael Givet in on loan from Marseille, till the end of the season

Allardyce Arrested
Blackburn Rovers manager, Sam Allardyce, spent a night in the cells after being arrested whilst attempting to break into a cigarette vending machine. When questioned by detectives, Allardyce said: "I was only after ten players". The old ones are the best.
