A real tragedy, but your comments are ill-informed to say the least. There's a minority of people who will use all sorts as a "tool for violence" - fashion, music, politics, but that doesn't make those things "crap". Like many people I go to football matches most weekends and I rarely, if ever, see any violence. I was drinking in a pub in Chesterfield yesterday with fans of the other team with not a hint of aggression in the air. If you don't like football then, fair enough, that's your choice, but don't justify your aversion with groundless generalisations like this.

Every town, city and village has an off licence, pub or supermarket selling alchohol. I would suggest football is a bit player in comparison

Football does have a cult following among some low life males.
Some 'men' suffer depression in the off season.
These types are prone to get the herd instinct, which caused this death.
I do not like football, but don't advocate banning it - just give the low life males something constructive to occupy them instead - maybe survival training by transportation to the Outer Hebredes

no that does not make it crap. What makes it crap is the fact that is crap utter crap...but then again i watch wwe wrestling so my opinion is probaly worthless.
watched a few true stories about football hooligans so its not ill informed imo. This sad story is just another example of lunatics that use football for a reason for violence..

So you're slagging off a tiny minority of football fans while at the same time endulging in a hobby where some grown up men in underwear promote violience and then have the audacity to call it sport

I've been a football fan for over 38 years,I'm now 43,my Dad took me to my 1st game when I was 5,you shudda worked that one out
I have ALWAYS hated football violence,I'm a Black belt in Shotokan (Karate),I have also got a 2nd Dan in Wado-ryu,I don't EVER get involved with football violence,I don't ever get involved with violence at all,it takes a bigger man to walk away, my head is always held up high, don't get me wrong.I'm 6' 5", 17 stone ex rugby league player,I don't get many takers BUT,I wouldn't harm a fly and I mean that, seriously, just through learning Martial arts and playing Rugby,I've learned to accept the referees decision,OK,it might be wrong,BUT,its his decision at the end of of the day
