Your Second Club...an eve-of-season appeal

OK, I know a lot of you lads and lasses out there support Burnley, Rovers, Man U, City, Liverpool, Everton and many other clubs. But, as you know, these days, it's fashionable to have a "second club" too.

So, I'm making an appeal for as many of you as possible to adopt Stanley as your second club. And not just to adopt them, but to turn up and watch them when you can't watch your own club. It's just a drive (or even a walk) up the road for those who still live locally, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the terraces (an atmosphere which many of you may miss in your all-seater stadiums) and, after the last couple of matches and the signings we've just made, I'm confident you'll see some great football, too.

So, come on, folks, make Stanley your second club and cheer us on to league football!

Good on you Doug it's worth it, I enjoyed quite a few good games last season Barnet 4-1 has to be the one I remember most.

Thanks for the positive response...now let's see some of you - Cashman, Doug, Bagpuss - and a lot more on the Clayton End, when you have a spare Saturday afternoon. Look at Garinda...he was a Stanley virgin until quite recently...now he can't get enough!

I've got 2nd, 3rd and 4th clubs and I watch the lot! Don't know wot else I can manage to fit in. Lancaster City, Padiham, Great Harwood Town............

good luck to stanley this season, as a liverpool fan its dificult to get to games, makes sence to have stanley as a second club, far cheaper to give them support than all your top flight clubs to. lets hope accy can be put back on the map this season.

Stanley will always be by first choice but Blackpool have now sneaked in as my 2nd team - wonder why that is?
