Ripped Off Again!!! Sky Tv.

love the game or hate the game darts is a game played all over the country, skill is a major part of this game and so is fitness (dont laughbut to stand up there under all them lights pretty hot work.so when the two biggest names of darts play each other for 100grand-winner and for 40grand runner-up you expect a good show off sky pay per view. you might think well 9-99 isnt a lot but on commercial property that jumps upto 50 quid plus vat.what happens? half through the game big andy fordham does not return he does one but why? dont know yet will get to know soon and i will let you know.tryed to contact sky for a refund but to no avail, pub full of totally peeved customers and a skint landlord. CHEERS SKY!!!!!!

It would appear that Fat Boy Slim, or The Viking, or The Wuss, or whatever other nom-de-plume he trades under had an asthma attack. This was how Radio 5-live reported it this morning, on their sports bulletin.

Maybe he just bottled it.

He has more than asthma attacks to worry about if he continues to drink at that rate.

And the best way not to get ripped off by Sky is not to have it in the first place...

...but if you are a pub landlord, I guess that's not really an option...

Question Re: Ripped Off Again!!! Sky Tv.

One of my workmates who is far more alcohol-dependant than me, (spends all his waking hours down the lusher), says many of the local pubs in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn have kicked Sky TV into touch because of the exhorbitant prices that it charges the landlords.

Is the cost per establishment worked out on the rateable value of each pub, is it derived from the floor area or is it a flat rate for each pub Stagger'?

Re: Ripped Off Again!!! Sky Tv.

its all worked out on the rateable value of the pub, mine can seat 80+ in both rooms and when i signed up they quoted me 250quid a month.6mth into the contract it jumped up too 350quid a mth when i read the small print it stated they where allowed to increase anytime they want! landlords are now going for that dutch-spanish package its a bit of a grey area at the moment as to the law on it. have you noticed now if a landlord subscibes to sky,a pint appears in the bottom right corner, this is so that when an inspector comes in to see what is on they know its subscibed to. If it hasnt a pint pot they do the landlord!

How does the cost of cable compare?

Or get a 4mb broadband line and stream it from the internet (just a thought!)

Sky TV are famed for being non too fair with any claim for a refund due to lack of service or anything. Trouble is where do you get coverage like theirs anywhere else.......catch 22 i think is the phrase.
