Post Re: mobile speed traps

the police are told to prosecute at....

30 mph zone - over 33mph
40 mph zone - 43 mph
50 mph zone - 53 mph
60 mph zone - 63 mph
70 mph zone - 75 mph............but not everyone does under 75mph on the motorway so why dont they just up the speed limit to 80mph,the only people that do over 100mph are bmw & mercedes drivers and boy racers, and they should be banned indefinately.

Post Re: mobile speed traps

I can't understand why they put a new camera on Whalley road have you tried going up to the motorway at 8:00 / 9:00 in a morning you hardly get above 20mph and its situated just where all the cars turn to go up to school thus slowing the traffic down in the direction of Whalley ..... So i can't see it being cos effective. Not like the one in Gt Harwood which is said to have created approx 4 million in fines in its first year (heard that on the news so its prob wrong)

I also spotted they have put one up on Hyndburn road as if you where going to the asda from the motorway side.  It is where the park is  :-/ , so all them times they set up that mobile one, i think it was to see if they could put one up.  I wouldn't mind about them as much as i do if some of the money went to useful things (like charity) not just to meet their budgets.  >
