Animated gif's not working

All of my animated gif's aren't working now on my pc because I was messing around with another browser and a photo imaging software.
Can someone tell me how to get my animated gif's working again?

Re: Animated gif's not working

hi len.. i've got the solution in case you are using windows xp - otherwise I am not sure..

right click on one of the gifs and select properties..
There should be a section that says Open With.. and next to it a button saying CHANGE
Press change and then select windows picture and fax viewer and you should be back to norm...

Re: Animated gif's not working

a long time since i've played with win98, but somewhere you have got to set up file associations. i am thinking it may be under Folder properties for some reason, but you wouldn't have windows picture and fax viewer in 98 i don't think so i couldn't help you no more! sorry! may i recommend at this point you upgrade to win xp?

Re: Animated gif's not working

Well I got them to work now. When I double click on them they open with Explorer and open up in a new window but at least they are working.

I shall see how I go on with them using Explorer.
