accrington jazz club
way back when we use to listen to
proper music at the jazz club( accy stanley) astoria ballroom (rawtenstall) nelson imp etc who so who and where ? fontella bass at the astoria

Yardbirds at Accy Con club........and Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders in Burnley....the place down manchester Rd....can't think of the name now........Michael Macdonald atthe Appollo in Manchester......the beatles in blackpool(must've benn the Winter Gardens, but I was so dizzy with my love for Paul Mc Cartney at the time that I forget.

I also used to go to the Jazz club, but only because the chap i was dating at the time liked Jazz....i didn't much care for it......it sounded like the musicians were all playing from a different score....but hey, we can't all like the same things can we. The relationship didn't last long enough for me to alter my tastes.
